Category 7/Class
F ('11801:2002)
Category 7/class F describes a new performance range for fully shielded
(i.e., overall shield and individually shielded pairs) twisted-pair
cabling. Category 7/class F is specified in the frequency range
of 1-600 MHz. Even though these requirements are supported by a
new interface design, category 7/class F will be backward compatible
meaning that applications running on lower categories/classes will
also be supported. IEC 60603-7-7
and IEC/PAS 61076-3-104 specify two compliant interface designs.
TIA is not actively developing a standard for category 7/class
